The last couple of years, we’ve been working to grow- in every sense of the word.
With eight kids, including a couple whose needs are greater than most, and another who was diagnosed with a serious condition and required brain surgery (yes… a second kid 😅), life has been anything but quiet.
During that same time, I started a second business, launched an amazing nonprofit (Prostate Cancer Maine), became a certified life coach and holistic health practitioner, and somehow found my way back to college.
It’s been beautiful.
It’s been exhausting.
It’s been a lot.
Through all of it, Dissent Wear has remained my constant.
This brand isn’t just clothing to me — it’s free therapy. Art, drawing, designing… it’s how I decompress when the world feels heavy. When my brain won’t slow down. Thank you ADHD & Autism - When I need somewhere safe to put the feelings I don’t have words for yet.
Creating gives me space to breathe.
Why Dissent Wear Matters to Me
Dissent Wear was never about chasing trends or fitting into what fashion is “supposed” to be. It was born from real life: from chaos, resilience, frustration, love, and the refusal to give up or go quiet.
Every design starts as a release.
A moment of honesty.
A reminder that even in survival mode, creativity still matters.
This brand holds pieces of my story, and I know it holds pieces of yours too.
