WHAT IS A SUSTAINABLE FASHION BRAND AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Dissent Wear is a Modern Lifestyle Brand that is SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL AND DIVERSE!
Sustainable fashion (or clothing) uses materials that are manufactured, constructed and marketed in an ethical and conscious way. From beginning to end.
No article of clothing is totally sustainable but Dissent Wear certainly tries in all circumstances. Many people use “Fast Fashion”, I will make another blog about the USA’s top Fast Fashion Brands- so you can educate yourself! Knowledge is always power. Sometimes Fast Fashion can be cheaper or less expensive.
DISSENT WEAR strives to be as ethical and sustainable as possible. One of our initial goals when we started this brand was to have the smallest carbon footprint possible. Whenever possible we are: Domestically Produced, Green & Clean, Fair & Ethical, High Quality & Timeless, AND Made On Demand and or Custom Made Just For YOU.
What does this mean??
- Clothing designed and manufactured in an environmentally conscious way. Whenever possible we use organic brands or items made of recycled materials.
- Our designing process is done by a mother of 8 following her dreams. Human Rights are a top priority and so important to our brand.
- Most often we use printers in the USA. Once in a while we find a product we really want to use and make sure the printer is held to our standards. We occasionally get rerouted by a printer who feels they have a better option. That all said, again most often we use printers who are right here in the United States.
- We want to leave the least amount of waste we can. Often with fast fashion when items do not sell they end up in landfills. Here you can see this has become an environmental crisis . We do not want to be a part of this. It is actually estimated that dead inventory actually costs the retail industry $50 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! We will not participate in this!
- Each time you place an order it is custom made just for you!
